A combination of music, camera, and data expertise, the Sony Ericsson W902 is out now and is free with half price rental offer up to 8 months on a 12 month contract. This is available to order on O2 or Orange.
What highlights the Sony Ericsson W902 is its Walkman music player. It has great sound, so it is considered as one of the best sounding music player/mobile phone hybrids in the market. For those cell phone users who don’t want a separate player and phone, this makes a perfect buy.
But the Sony Ericsson W902 goes beyond music. With its 5 megapixel camera that features autofocus lens with a flash and the ability to shoot 30fps video, taking pictures and videos will be a breeze since there’s no need for a separate digital camera or videocam on hand. Plus, with a card slot which can hold up to 8GB of memory, storing of data will never be a problem.

Free on O2 or Orange for only £40 per month on a 12 month contract or £30 per month on an 18 month contract.
The Sony Ericsson C905 represents Sony Ericsson’s range of phones for 2008 and is a part of the “Cybershot range”, which includes only high-end mobile camera phones. Specifically designed to offer advanced digital camera features, this Sony Ericsson product is even considered as a camera that happens to be a phone than being a mobile phone that features a camera.
But the Sony Ericsson C905 does not only boast an 8 megapixels camera that features Xenon flash, autofocus, face detection, smart contrast, and GPS geotagging, it also gives serious connectivity because of its 3G, HSDPA, and WiFi features. Thus, this phone will sure be a great choice for those who are looking for a phone that can do not only calling and taking videos and photos, but also Internet-based things.

Combining the advanced features of a digital camera and calling features of a basic mobile phone, the LG KC910 Renoir is finally out and is free on orange from £35 per month. This newest addition in the LG lineup has advanced camera features like 8 megapixels, xenon flash plus face, digital image stabilizer, smile and blink detection, and Schneider Kreuznach lens. All these make this phone very much capable of replacing a fully-functional stand-alone digital camera while providing advanced phone features such as video recording abilities, dolby sound, multimedia player, and TV output features.
But all the great features of the LG KC910 Renoir do not end there. Although the multimedia phone and camera phone features are enough to make cellphone consumers get interested in this newest LG product, there are other features that consumers will sure appreciate such as built-in GPS, Wi-Fi enabled, Bluetooth 2.0 capable, and a microSD slot which can hold a whooping 8GB of card-based memory. Plus, with its touchscreen design which allows for a 3-inch display at a resolution of 400 x 241 dpi, this will sure be a great choice for multimedia purposes.

Sony Ericsson have added to their outstanding range of walkman phones with the release of the W980i.
As you would expect from any phone carrying the walkman brand, the W980i has been designed with music in mind!
This phone is equipped with a great Mp3 player that is a pleasure to listen to.
The capacity for the mp3 player is stated as being 8000 songs, thogh that is a little optimistic. We would suggest it is closer to 6500 depending on the track lenghts, but either way, it is a lot!
Whilst music can be played via the loudspeaker of this phone, the real benefit of this quality player can only be appreciated via a good set of headphones.
To that end Sony Ericsson have bundled a handsfree stereo (HPM-77) headset, though not up to Sennheiser standards, they never the less do a good job.
The w980i is a flip / clamshell design, which is increasingly unusual for Ericsson, who have been focussing on bar style handsets for some time now.
The front of the clamshell has been designed to mimic the appearance of an mp3 player with “music style controls” on the outer casing.
This phone offers “Haptic Feedback” for an enhanced user experience.
For connectivity with other devices Sony Ericsson have added an FM transmitter which allows you to stream your music to other compatable devices. This is a really neat feature which we have not seen many phones implement.
With the recent announcement of Sony Ericssons PlayNow Arena this phone will be able to directly access an estimated five million music tracks.
Unforutunately the “PlayNow Arena” seems to have been stalled, with the latest press release now quite out of date.
There is no reason to assume PlayArena this will not go ahead, considering Sony’s involvement in the music industry it would be a logical move.
In the mean time you can always check out Play Now Uncut which is a download site for unsigned acts, though, that also seems to have stalled with very few downloads currently listed :-(.
Sony Ericssons stated aim is to integrate the W980i’s “TrackID” feature which will allow you to find the name of un identified tracks using the PlayNow arena service.
However, Sonys ambitions for PlayNow Arena extend beyond music as they intend to distribute a full range of media, including moveis and ring tones.
This is a really neat trick and shows how seriously Sony Walkman are in developing their products by providing a fully integreated service to rival i-tunes.
This will give the W980i and subsequent models full integration into a huge library of music, medaia, ring tones and other downloads.
In additoin to the great new music features and services being offered, the W980i has all the usual trappings such as:
A 3.2 megapixel camera
Screen Rotation
An FM radio
High Speed Download Packet Access Mobile Broadband (essential for swift music downloads)
Quadband compatability for the globe trotters amongst us!

You may not know this, but the term “Omnia” is Greek for “everything”, so, it would be fair to call this handset the Samsung Everything… because that is exactly what it tries to do and be!
The Omnia is one of Samsungs latest smartphones, make that smart in appearance as well as funtion! The features list on this handset is very impressive, as it:
Supports 3g high speed downloads
It has browser support for HTML, RSS feeds, WAP 2.0/xHTML
A large 3.2 inch touch screen supporting 256K colors
The screen has a sensor allowing it to auto rotate as you turn the handset around
It has an enormous phonebook, we do not even know the size limit of this… it is big!
Storage can be expanded with Micro SD cards
The internal memory is either 8GB or 16 GB depending on which model you buy
The operating memory is 128 MB RAM, with 256 MB ROM
It is equipped with the acclaimed 624MHz Marvell PXA312 CPU
It is equipped with a 5 mega pixel camera including image stabilisation, video, flash, autofocus, and a secondary video camera!
Other features of this handset are an FM radio with RMS, built in GPS receiver, Pocket Microsoft Office, an MP3 / MP4 player, TV Out, a dictaphone and built in hands free… and some other stuff we do not have time to mention!
You can get the Samsung Omnia 16GB for a mere £25 per month on both Orange and O2 which is a pretty good deal! For that you also get a choice of 300 inclusive cross network minutes and 100 texts, or, you can go for just 200 cross network minutes and a massive 3000 text messages! Alternative you can opt for an even cheaper deal on the 8GB Omnia with a free bluetooth headset thrown into the bargain!
Personally I would recommend the 16 GB, it will prove a more capable phone, particularly as you start to fill it with data, and lets face it, a hands free set can easily be got hold of quite cheaply. In fact, many people probably have a compatible one already.

The Samsung F480 Tocco is a next generation touchscreen smartphone. It is a 3g enabled handest which is equipped with 7Mbps High Speed Downlink Packet Access mobile brodaband, providing mobile interenet access. With this phone you can post your images online, keep up to date with current affairs, send and receive E-Mail and more!
Before you can upload images to your blog or Fickr you will need to take some! For that you will be pleased to know, the Tocco has a five 5 megapixel camera and a a good sized 2.8 inch display.
This phone has been cleverly designed for ease of use with a haptic touchscreen interface.
We are currently listing some great deals on the F480 Tocco starting from just £18 per month on T Mobile.
On O2 you can get a 12 month contract for £40 per month on O2 with 600 inclusive minutes and 500 texts per month. With this deal you can claim claim up to £280 cash back which brings the total cost down to an average of just over £20!
If you are after a great deal, then this option on O2 is a real winner, just make sure you get your claim for cashback in on time!
The F480 Tocco has a great reputation for reliability and build quality. It is made from the best materials and benefits from some pretty slick styling!. The F480 has a perfectly flat facia with a glossy black casing. Despite the fact that the Tocco is a robust and well made handset, you may want to protect its pretty looks from dirt and scratches, and, to that end Samsung have been kind enough to supply it with a leather wallet case. You may also wish to purchase a soft cleaning cloth to remove any unsightly finger prints! Really, if you are into asthetics, then this is a phone you will want to look after!
As is now common with next generation smartphones, there are just three buttons on the front of the phone, with a hold key, volume control and a shortcut key for the camera conveniently located on the side.
It go’s without saying that this phone has a built in music player, a good one! You can listen to music in the background while performing other tasks (running different applications) whilst a conveniently placed widget allows you to skip / forward and pause your tracks as well as providing a convenient route to the music player application itself.
The F480 provides haptic vibratin feedback making its use intuitive and natural. The interface is the colorful Croix touchscreen interface (which has won several awards).
The memory is a little limited on this handset, with just 230MB of internal memory available. This is enough to store a reasonable number of tracks, but it could reallly do with more storage, especialy as competing phones are now measuring their capacity in Gigabytes. To address this Samsung have added a microSD card slot which allows the memory to be expanded to 8GB.
Now 8GB is not quite up to I Pod standards, but, you can get a lot of music on that card! I have seen estimates of 2000 tracks per 8GB from manufacurers of other devices, but that is an over estimation. The figure of 2000 tracks assumes an average of just 4Mb per track, which is an under estimation. In reality tracks tend to be larger than 4Mb and you can realistically expect to get around 1700 tracks on an 8GB card, which should be more than enough for most users!

The LG Viewty has been one of the most popular and best selling phones of 2008. This limited edition version of the handset is red in colour and is exclusive to Vodafine.
you can now get the The LG Viewty Red for £15 Per Month. In terms of style that has to be the most bang for your buck you are going to find anywhere.
We absolutely love this phone, we liked the Viewty anyway, it is a great touch screen phone packed with features, and, we always felt was one of the most stylish phones on the market. Certainly, there is little to rival it, other than the I Phone or the Samsung Omnia.
If you check our listings you will see we have a lot of vodafone voucher codes (enter these on the Vodafones site) listed at the moment with added incentives for purchasing this phone (as if the color were not enough) so you can be sure of finding a great deal!

The Sony Ericsson K800i is one of the more recent additions to the list of handsets which are available with free line rental.
When I say more recent, I mean it has recently been made available with free line rental, as, the handset itself is an older model released in 2006. This phone has a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, xenon flash and video record, which is adequate, but, compared to later models is starting to show its age!
Of course the K800i is 3G enabled allowing fast internet access, however, these days you are probably getting a Mobile Broadband USB dongle if you are planning on hooking your laptop up to the internet.
The K800i also has an inbuilt stereo FM radio, MP3/MPEG4 player, Bluetooth, a web browser, 3D games, video player, built in hands free and an organiser.
The K800i typifies the trade off you have to accept when you take out a free line rental deal. This is a perfectly good handset, and will do more than 95% of customers will ever require it to, but, cutting edge it is not. If your friends have an N95 then they are not going to be impressed by a K800i, but, if your friends are impressed by a smart deal as opposed to the latest features, then you may be able to redeem yourself!
As we have said before, free line rental deals are a trade off, you have to take an older model in return for the cash back option the free line rental element is dependent upon.
The best bargains are always offered on the older handsets, and, as older handsets go, the K800i is hard to beat. It is a great phone with a good reputation, do not write if off just yet!

The camera on this phone is one of the best out there, with fantastic picture and video quality (30 frames a second). The Nokia 6220 classic also has an FM radio with RDS, a good media player, an “ok” web browser, email, and expandable memory (maz 8GB).
Another useful feature of the 6220 is that you can hook it up to your TV to view your media files with the rest of the family!
The Nokia 6220 has a fully featured GPS receiver and comes with Nokia Maps 2.0 pre installed. Nokia Maps not only helps you get around… it can help you get lunch, entertainment and a range of other useful services within a given area, by identifying local shops and services!
