The latest Symbian Smartphone has been released on the 3g network, available in two colours:

  • Nokia E71 White
  • Nokia E71 Grey
  • The Nokia E71 features a 2.4 inch display and a full QWERTY keypad. It is surprisingly slim at just 10mm thick making it very comfortable to carry. This is the first time Nokia have produced anything that begins to rival the BlackBerry, and is certainly worthy of consideration by anyone looking for this kind of device.

The E71 has a built-in GPS receiver pre-loaded with the latest Nokia Maps 2.0 application, meaning it is ready to go out of the box. This is great software which not only assists in navigation, but points out the best restaurants and shops in a given area.

The E71 supports Email messaging and is highly configurable allowing the use of all the major “free mail” services, such as Google Mail, Hotmail and Yahoo. It also has support for Microsoft exchange, which would be of use to business customers.

The Nokia E71 smart-phone is equipped with a 3 mega-pixel auto-focus camera, which is a little disappointing given the fact that most phones in the price bracket now offer 5 mega pixels, but, that said the camera is perfectly adequate.

The Nokia E71 is a 3G phone with HSDPA for high speed data downloads. It also has Wi-fi connectivity, which is great for browsing the web or accessing emails when in a Wi-fi area.
