This is one of the cheapest deals we have seen on PAYG and would make the ideal backup phone, or a cheap handset to give to a child. Alternatively, there is no reason why you cannot use this as your main phone if you can live without all the bells and whistled bolted onto most contract phones! The offer for £6.95 only applys on Orange Pay as You Go and is subject to purchasing £10 worth of air time, so, the total cost will be £16.95, but, you will have some credit thrown in!
The Nokia 2610 is a great little phone if you just want a nice simple communications device for talking and texting!. Personally, I still go for basic Nokia phones as I do not use the advanced features available on high end phones. Call me old fashioned, but I use my phone to make calls, and for that, this phone is more than adequate!
As you would expect from Nokia the layout and interface is straight forward and easy to use, so you should not have to spend too much time reading the instruction manual!
The 2610 is just 91g in weight and has very good battery life providing up to 15 days stand by and 5 hours talk time, it is Tri band so it will work pretty well anywhere in the world. Again, these features make it an ideal backup or emergency phone.
Despite being an entry level phone the Nokia 2610 is quite nicely styled, has polyphonic ring tones and a good sized color display.
