Well, at least one good thing has come out of the economic downturn, there are some great bargains to be had on Mobile phones right now!
It seems that some of the networks and retailers are starting to put together some budget offerings instead of pushing the latest flash handsets.
Leading the way are Virgin who are now offering 150 free minutes and 150 free texts for just £12 Per Month!
These deals are available on with the Samsung F400 or the Sony Ericsson C902. These are pretty good handsets, and you do have to pay a little extra for them, but, it still works out to be a good deal. If you took a cheaper handset you could probably get one thrown in for free.
Time will tell whether other network providers begin offering cheaper line rental deals, currently Virgin are the only ones to offer 12 months line rental at £12 per month, in fact, there are not even any 18 month deals that are this cheap!
If this trend continues it is sure to adversely affect sales of PAYG handsets!
