Are deals offering Free Line Rental genuine?
Yes these deals are genuine, but, read the small print! Clearly no-one is going to give away a >free mobile phone without a means to make profit somewhere along the line!
Check how many minutes / texts are included, and what charges are for additional minutes / texts.
As long as you stick to the terms it is possible to run your mobile phone completely free on one of these deals!
How do free rental deals work?
You have to sign up for a mobile phone contract, for which you will receive a bill. You will have to pay this bill normally at first. Then, at specified times within the contract you will receive cash back from the company you took the contract out with.
The times you will receive cash back will be specified when signing up for the deal, for example they may agree to pay money back in months 9, 11 and 12.
So, it is not really free, I am losing interest on my money!
Yes, the mobile phone supplier will keep some of your money until late in the contract, I would imagine the way these deals work depends a lot on cash flow!
Never the less, they are the cheapest way to own a mobile phone, cheaper than Pay as you go for example.
Do you have one of these phones deals
No I dont, I had my contract long before free line rental deals were available, and now I get a loyalty bonus and cannot be bothered to switch 
However, I have friends who have taken out this kind of deal for some time phones without complaint!
I am not sure about these deals, it looks too complicated!
