There are a number of articles on this site to guide you through the process of buying a free line rental mobile, however, it is only natural (and sensible) that you would want to check things out on other sites independantly of this one.
To that end we have compiled a list of useful links for you to peruse at your leisure
First up, something to watch out for! Here the forum at Money Supermarket has been spammed by someone pretending to have got a good deal from a site. In reality, it is probably their own site they are promoting. So, lesson number one, do not trust forum posts with website URL’s embedded in them!
Money Saving Expert are a slightly better option, though the site is not that active, and, in my opinion not very user friendly, but there are some “genuine” bargain hunters on there for you to share tips with.
Strangely, an off topic thread in EuroGamer has some information that may be of use to those looking for a free line rental deal. What Mobile are a more specialised forum where there is a lot of useful advice on buying mobile phones, including 12 FLR and half price deals.
The AV Forums also have some good information on FLR deals, but again, be wary of posts which have links in them, these are usually posted by people affiliated with the website in question (the website being linked).
There is some more useful info on The Review Centre where you can read one user warning people to
be careful when signing up for 12 months FLR offers; there are a lot of folk on this forum who have had great difficulty in claiming their cashback. There are a few rogue mobile phone retailers who have been known to make it as difficult as possible for you to claim back your line rental
This is something we warn time and time again about on this site… no one is going to give you a free phone, you have to work for it, work at beating the free line rental system that is!
Blagger carries another warning from a disgruntled customer, complaining that their mobile retailer failed to give them the cashback on their free line rental deal…. and I just found some more warnings about free line rental deals here and some more general discussion here.
One other good source of information on Mobile Phones are The Howard Forums. There is not that much information on FLR, but a lot about mobile phone specifications, which may help inform your purchasing decision.
One final point, a lot of the articles posted here are actually negative with regard to the free line rental deals taken out, however, you will notice that none of the retailers complained about are listed on this site. That is not to say you are guaranteed to get your line rental back with the companies we promote… you are not… but, they are all reputable companies, and, if you “play the game” well, you should get your money back without issue.
